Here I am again after a long absence from posting in my dear blog.
A lot has changed since I last posted, and at the same time I feel that, paradoxically, little has changed.
The last time I posted I was getting myself prepared for the vastly entertaining world of University. Today, I have just had my third exam of the semester, dealing with Elements of Maltese law - a subject I did not dream of having when I posted here last.
Life at university was pretty much as I expected it to be - and that is utter revulsion. Appalled at the way of life of this institution, I look back at my last seven years and spot the difference.
The weather has changed too, and the season change has brought with it several new opporunities and the forgoing of others. For instance, it is definitely no longer possible to go out and have a swim on Fridays; but the festive season has been the cornerstone of the bringing together of relatives and friends. New Year's Even was a top-of-it-all event which has definitely brought about great emotions and will carry memories for quite some time.
One of the various downsides that I find is the lack of motivation to carry on in this course. It is seen in no uncertain terms that the 371 Bachelor of Commerce students are not welcome. And where you're not welcome, you are treated with a degree of hostility and - surely - some negligence.
Another factor is the lack of free time. These days I hardly find any time to relax and enjoy my leisure activities. This can be reflected in the sheer irony of the fact that out of all the days that I have been attending University, it is these two weeks - the exam period - where I find myself some time to read, play and sleep longer hours.
That's all for today. I hope that next time I will come up with a better post without so much humbug.
Cheers and good luck
Stephen.
